The credentials of legal kit authors are important but few, if any, legal kit publishers will tell you who they actually are. I have no such inhibitions.

My name is Fred Sparrow. I am not a solicitor but I was Queensland Manager and Director of ‘S & M Supply Co. Pty Ltd’ which controlled ‘S & M Law Stationers’. They were the only true and specialised law stationery supplier in Australia. This all goes back to 1964. In 1986 the ownership of S & M Law Stationers was taken by another group and I transferred with it. In 1996 I formed ‘Law Stationer – Fred Sparrow Pty Ltd’, absorbing the previous law stationery business. A year later I also formed ‘Legal Kit Specialists’.

All told this shows involvement with law forms and their usage for over forty years. I have been engaged in designing, drafting, production and distribution. All types of administrative forms, contracts, agreements, mortgages, leases, land registry, family law etc. were handled. I also consulted to a major department of the Queensland Government at one stage.

Even with all that experience  kits were still passed before a practitioner when they were first produced.
